How to treat varicosis?
First, you need to undergo a diagnosis of varicosis by a specialist doctor. Not only will he examine your legs and study your medical history, but he will also perform an ultrasound scan of your varicose veins.
This study in the treatment of varicosis allows you to see any obstacles to the movement of blood in the vessels. The doctor will also assess the function of your veins. After that, he will make an accurate diagnosis.
There’re many ways to treat varicosis or (varicose veins):
- Radiofrequency vascular ablation. The structure of the veins is restored from the inside.
- Venous pulse occlusion. The vessels are affected by the streams of steam, allowing them to penetrate any part of the veins.
- A special laser is used to treat varicose veins.
- Vessel valves are glued together using biological glue. VenaSeal
Prevention of Varicosis
There is no way to completely prevent varicosis. But improving blood circulation & muscle tension, to reduce the possibility of developing varicosis, you must consider the following tips:
- Follow an active lifestyle (with sedentary work), try to move more, take breaks, and exercise.
- Don’t cross your legs when sitting
- Don’t wear too tight clothes
- Avoid high heels shoes or wear them rarely
- Choose bicycling and swimming as an exercise
- Include healthy foods in your diet
- Control your weight
- Get rid of bad habits
- Drink a lot of fluids
- Obese people should lose weight. Although obesity is not a direct cause, the pressure of extra weight on the legs may cause a poor return of the veins in the legs and increase dilatation of the veins (varicose veins).
- Women should take special care of their legs during special periods such as menstruation & pregnancy. Take more rest and massage her legs frequently to help blood circulation and avoid dilatation of the veins (varicose veins).
If you’re using these simple tips, you will not only reduce the possibility of complications but also prevent diseases. The basic rule is “prevention is easier than cure” If you notice yourself having symptoms that indicate varicose veins, contact your doctor for a consultation.
